G9 Insider: San Francisco CityTarget and C9 Store Launch

October 26, 2012

October 9th, 2012 marked a special day in San Francisco. CityTarget opened their doors in a spectacular way.

City Target at Metreon

Festivities included a one-on-one photo opp with ‘Bullseye’ the Target mascot, cocktails by Rye on the Road, tamales from Tacolicious, Smitten and their liquid-nitrogen-powered ice-cream machine Kelvin, DJ’s, live music, and… well, a picture is worth a thousand words.

With great food, drink, music, and entertainment, there were all the makings of a great celebration!  San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee was even in attendance awarding Target with an official proclamation that Oct. 9th is “CityTarget Day”.

CityTarget has provided 600 construction jobs and 700 permanent jobs and is estimated to generate $15 million in new tax revenues with more than $4.4 million per year going directly to San Francisco’s community projects.  We were excited to have been there to capture the fun document a part of our city’s history.

C9 (Champion’s Performance Collection) also launched their first ever stand alone store below the new CityTarget store. The venue showcases their collection of mid-teir technical clothing. The launch was welcomed to San Francisco with the addition of a roller skating rink in Yerba Buena Gardens for the public. Fun times for all.

A big thanks to Rock & Rain for coordinating all of the event marketing for the CityTarget launch and including us to capture all the fun!
