In San Francisco, new restaurants, bars, and lounges seem to pop up weekly, always touting fantastic drinks, food, and ambiance. But there is now one new locale that has an edge on almost every other establishment, a giant heated rooftop expanse right in the heart of downtown San Francisco, welcome 620 Jones. They flaunt a beautifully landscaped exterior patio and modern industrial chic interior perfect for a happy hour, a late night snack under the stars, or a warm sunday brunch.

The menu has been devised by one of our favorite “real working” SF chefs, Ola Fendert, who also owns Oola on Folsom St.. and we got the pleasure of shooting the food and eating it too! Our favorite standout dishes include:

  • Buttermilk fried chicken & waffles, maple syrup

  • Roasted beets, goat cheese, watercress, toasted pistachios, shallots, lemon-thyme vinaigrette

  • Ginger-soy glazed baby back ribs, apple-pepper cole slaw

  • And our absolute favorite: Roasted Brussel Sprouts, Shitake Mushrooms, and Pancetta
